The 2023 Epe Food Bank Initiative rounded off successfully with indigenes and residents alike going home with a variety of food items.
The massive turnout converged at The Secretariat, Ita-Marun, Epe, and people were able to go home with food items including sizeable portions of rice, beans, yams, bundles of fish and fresh eggs.
The initiative was also an opportunity to support the artisans and farmers within the community who were contracted to carry out the supply of some of the food items distributed.
Epe has amassed a great population beyond its original indigenes by virtue of it being a commercial hub as well as a place of settlement for people from neighboring states and communities.
This initiative is amongst several other interventions this administration has embarked on including medical support for the indisposed in health centers across Epe, empowerment for the women, widows & aged, farmers and artisans as well as partnerships with International NGOs to provide clothes and relief packages for the less privileged.
