Recall that the Executive Chairman of Epe LGA, Hon. (Princess) Surah O. Animashaun, on Sunday, at the launching of “Ounje Eko” promised to also distribute palliatives to support the Lagos State Government’s effort at curtailing the effects of inflation.
The Executive Chairman has made good her promise by doling out palliatives to the teeming and eager crowd who thronged the LGA Secretariat on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, to benefit from the largesse.
The palliatives consist of various food items such as rice, yam, garri, beans, noddles etc.
The elated crowd appreciated Princess Surah Animashaun, saying there’s no Chairman that prioritizes the welfare of the people like the well-loved Chairman.
Through one of the interviews held, Mrs Aminat Shabi, the President of Epe Farmers Association, said it’s not the first time the Chairman is embarking on such an exercise, but that this palliative is bigger and better and it is coming at the right time when people are grappling with hunger.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman emphasized that the key areas she’s focusing on are: Security, Health, Education and Food hence, her various interventions and initiatives that cut across these key areas.
She also promised to encourage farmers in the locality to grow more foods by providing them with the required tools needed to increase their farming output.
