In expectation of heavy downpour that is to come and the clogging of drainage channels due to past rainfall, the Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun FHTI, has ordered continous clearing of drainage channels once again.
Of mention was Fidipote, Ayotunde Seriki, Dauda Buhari and Animashaun street where residents trooped out in jubilation of the de-flooding measures of the Chairman that has never stopped even before the commencement of rainy season.
They expressed their joy that flooding that used to be a source of worry has now become the thing of the past.
In an interview with the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Odupe Fuad Tunde, said the Chairman is a listening and compassionate leader who has the interest of the people in her mind. The Chairman is someone who never rests until the needs and yearnings of the people are met.
The Supervisor for Environment however cautioned against indiscriminate dumping of refuse and pet bottles that blocks drainages, and subsequently, flooding that could cause displacement.
