…Distributes School Supplies to Pupils
In line with her commitment to improving access to education and easing the burden on parents, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah O. Animashaun FHTI has officially launched the fourth edition of the “Iya Epe” Goes-to-School Initiative.
The initiative, which kicked off on September 18, 2024, aims to provide essential school materials to primary school pupils across the Local Government Area.
During her tour of various primary schools in Epe, the Chairman distributed free school uniforms, footwear, socks, and some other academic materials to the pupils. The gesture, she said, is part of her administration’s ongoing efforts to ensure a conducive and equitable learning environment for children in the area.
Speaking during the launch, the Chairman emphasized the importance of education and urged the pupils to make the most of the opportunities being provided.
“As a mother figure who values education, my administration is doing all it can to support students and create a level playing ground for every child in Epe. I encourage the pupils to take their studies seriously so they can make their mark in society,” she said.
Princess Animashaun also acknowledged the rising cost of school items an expressed hope that the initiative would alleviate the financial strain on parents.
She reaffirmed her administration’s dedication to supporting the educational development of children in Epe LGA, promising that similar initiatives would continue throughout her tenure.
The “Iya Epe” Goes-to-School Initiative has been lauded for its impact on students and parents alike, with many expressing gratitude for the Chairman’s efforts to invest in the future of Epe’s children.
