Epe Local Government has announced a significant progress on the ongoing construction of box culverts across strategic roads in the area. The project, led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Surah Animashaun FHTI, is now in its final stages, with completion reaching 85%.
According to the Chairman, the remaining work focuses on the crucial task of casting slabs on the culverts, ensuring the structures are ready for use.
The box culverts, she said, are designed to provide effective drainage solutions to address both surface and sub-surface water flow along the affected streets, stressing that the infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance road durability and prevent flooding.
“We are making rapid progress and the final phase will involve the concrete casting of the slabs to complete the project,” Hon. Animashaun stated. She further expressed her gratitude to residents for their patience during the construction process and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
The Chairman assured the community that these efforts will significantly improve the overall infrastructure of Epe LGA and contribute to a better living environment for all residents.
