The Epe Local Government Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Surah Animashaun FHTI, celebrated Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day with school children, emphasizing unity, peace, and education as key to Nigeria’s progress. In her goodwill message, she congratulated President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and other leaders on the nation’s milestone.
To commemorate the day, the Chairman celebrated with the school children and encouraged them to embrace their cultural heritage and strive for academic excellence. She also highlighted the importance of promoting peace and understanding among young Nigerians.
Epe Local Government has been actively involved in promoting education and youth development through various initiatives, including:
- Bursary Award, Free GCE and JAMB Form Program: Providing financial assistance to deserving students pursuing higher education.
- Infrastructure Development: Completing projects such as the construction of a block of 7 Classrooms in Army Children’s School, Epe.
- Empowerment Programs: Distributing tools and equipment to entrepreneurs, barbers, and hairdressers to support economic growth.
