In a bid to curb the spread of Tuberculosis (TB), the Epe Local Government, led by Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Surah O. Animashaun FHTI, has organized a free health screening exercise which started today, November 6th till 7th, 2024 at the Epe Local Government Secretariat. The free health screening saw a significant turnout, with numerous residents undergoing thorough examinations. This initiative showcases the government’s commitment to providing accessible, quality healthcare services and promoting community well-being.

- With Free Chest X-ray Van
Chairman Princess Animashaun emphasized the importance of this campaign, stating that lack of awareness has continued to pose threats to residents of the Council, State, and Nigeria at large. She encouraged residents to take advantage of this opportunity to get screened and learn more about TB prevention.
The event’s theme, “End TB, Stop TB,” reflects the government’s commitment to eliminating and controlling the spread of TB in the council area, state, and country. Princess Animashaun noted that her administration prioritizes health, bringing quality healthcare services to Epe residents.
The Medical Health Officer, Dr. Awolesi commended Chairman Animashaun for her laudable initiatives in the health sector in Epe LGA, noting that this tuberculosis program is the first of its kind in Lagos State.
