Yesterday, Hon. (Princess) Surah O. Animashaun FHTI, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, demonstrated her commitment and compassion to the well-being of Epe residents through her visit to the family of Ariyo Anthonia’s parents to condole and sympathize with then.
Anthonia, until her sudden demise was a Computer Science Year-Two student of Lagos State Technical College, Odomola, Epe, and was involved in a tragic accident that happened on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Ayetoro Market.
Chairman Animashaun and her team also visited Epe General Hospital/Federal Medical Center to check in on the survivors – Mrs. Gbenle Oluwatoyin and Mrs. Okeowo Modinat.
She pledged that the local government would take responsibility for the medical bills of the victims and provide them with the necessary support needed for their speedy recuperation.
Also, the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Board (LASTVEB) has sent a team to Epe to commiserate with the family of Ariyo Anthonia and support the family in their trying times.
The Governor of Lagos State, H.E. Babajide Sanwo0Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, have sent in their condolences to the victims of the accident and the people of Epe in general.
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, personally extended his condolences to the market men and women of Ayetoro Market through Baba Oloja and Iya Oloja, following the tragic incident. He also assured that immediate measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
The visits by the Chairman, the LASTVEB, and the Governor’s assurances demonstrate leadership dedication to caring for those in need.
The State and Local Government remain unwavering commitment to continuously providing support, welfare, and care to Epe residents.
