The Epe Local Government Executive Council, led by its Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Adeniyi Owolomoshe, recently embarked on a comprehensive project inspection tour to assess the progress of various ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. The inspection tour, which is part of the Princess Surah administration’s efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective project management, aimed to evaluate the progress of ongoing projects, identify potential challenges, and ensure that projects meet the needs and expectations of the community.
The Museum and Library Center which is a landmark project situated in the Epe Local Government Secretariat, is a project aimed at promoting education, culture, and tourism in the local government area and beyond. The inspection team having done a comprehensive assessment was impressed with the progress made so far and expressed confidence that the project would be completed soon. The Epe Local Government Staff Quarters project seeks to provide comfortable and secure accommodation for local government staff, to enhance their productivity and overall well-being. The team confidently stated that the project was nearing completion and would soon be ready for occupancy.
The Health Center project is designed to improve access to quality health care services for residents, addressing the critical need for effective health care delivery in the area. The team was pleased with the progress made and emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule in order to complement the existing health care centers. The ongoing construction of Akodu Street is an infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity, facilitating economic growth, and improving the overall quality of life for residents.
The team expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and urged the contractors to maintain the pace of work to attain completion on schedule. The team, which comprised Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, the Vice Chairman of Epe LGA; Hon. Rahmon Saheed, Secretary to the Local Government; Hon. Odupe Fuad Tunde, Supervisor for Environment; Hon. Liafiz Ekemode, Supervisor for Budget and Planning; Hon. Sikiru Ramoni Adewale, Supervisor for Civic Engagement/Works; Hon. Ganiu Adele, Supervisor for Education; Hon. Alebiosu Abolaji, Supervisor for Health; Hon. Lawal Bolanle, Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; Hon. Ashiru Waheed, Special Adviser on Works; Hon. Segun Olukayode, Senior Special Assistant on Security, Hon. Ladele Ismail, Senior Special Assistant on Wealth Creation and Special Duties, and Engr. Olaseni Hamid, Council Engineer visited several sites, including the Museum and Library Center at the Epe Local Government Secretariat, Epe Local Government Staff Quarters, Health Center, and the ongoing construction of Akodu Street.
Speaking during the inspection tour, Hon. Sikiru Owolomose Adeniyi emphasized the Princess Surah administration’s commitment to delivering impactful projects that benefit the people of Epe Local Government. He assured the community that the Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun, FHTI, will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed on schedule and to the highest standards. Hon. Rahmon Saheed Olalekan, the Secretary to the Epe Local Government, also expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing projects. “We are committed to ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards and meet the needs of our community, “he said.” As the Secretary to the Local Government, I am proud to be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering impactful projects that benefit the people of Epe Local Government.”
