EPE CHAIRMAN HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING, AS OLALEKAN KILLA/ANIMASHAUN ROAD PROJECT IS SET TO COMMENCE.
The Chairman of Epe LGA, Hon. Surah Animashaun, today Monday,, May 13, 2024, has met with relevant stakeholders in Epe LGA to discuss details of the soon-to-commence construction of Olalekan Killa/Animashaun Close, Epe, and other vital road projects.
The meeting comprises traditional ruler, Chiefs, Baales, Olorituns, youth associations and residents (indigenes and non indigenes).
The meeting precedes the ground breaking ceremony of the road construction contracted to A&D Design and Built Construction Nig. Ltd., to be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
This road construction is part of the 114 roads initiative conceived by the Conference of 57 Chairmen and approved by the governor, HE, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and whose implementation started since 2022.
In her keynote address, the Chairman stated that she has delivered on almost all of her promises to the people of Epe since assumption of office. Additionally, she noted that the road when completed, will open Epe up to development, enhance road networks, offer residents a lease of life and attract investors.
“This is not to say that we’re done delivering dividends of democracy. I can assure you I will continue to deliver on my promises until my last day in office,” the Chairman noted.
Speaking, HRM, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe, represented by the Olisa of Epe Land, High Chief Waheed Alaolu, commended the Chairman for her passion for development which surpasses expectations.
The kabiyesi thereafter enjoined stakeholders and residents to give maximum support to PSOA’s administration to enable her do more, adding that the Chairman has his royal blessings to carry on the good work.
In the same vein, Hon. Fariu Arebi, a resident and former State House of Assembly member, expressing his gratitude pledged the support and cooperation of youths/residents and promised that the contractors would go about their road construction unhindered.
