The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun FHTI, organized an empowerment and distribution of Palliative Programme for 200 farmers in Epe LG which is the second phase of more to come.
Some of the supportive farm inputs distributed include:
-Cash
-Sorghum
-Maize
This initiative is seen as a significant gesture of support for the agricultural community and a demonstration of her commitment to the welfare of the people.
This initiative is expected to boost agricultural production and improve the livelihood of farmers in Epe LG especially at a time the nation is facing hike in food prices. The empowerment and palliative support will significantly cushion the effect of inflation in food prices whereby farmers can boost food production.
Princess Surah’s initiative was widely commended by the farmers citing the positive impact the empowerment and palliative support will have on their farming input and extensively make agricultural produce available and considerably affordable for the people.
