Epe Local Government, under the dynamic leadership of Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has taken another powerful step in safeguarding the health of its people with the official launch of the Outbreak Response Initiative (ORI). This historic flag-off followed a high-level stakeholders’ meeting of the Epe Local Government Immunization Task Force held at the Secretariat.
The strategic meeting brought together community leaders, religious leaders, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), and the dedicated health team, all united in one mission: strengthening immunization efforts and fortifying Epe against vaccine-preventable diseases.
In her characteristic motherly, purposeful, and visionary style, Princess Surah Animashaun reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of every resident. She backed her words with action by providing pluses and transportation stipends to immunization teams, ensuring they are fully motivated and supported as they move from community to community.
“The health of our people is non-negotiable,” Princess Animashaun declared. “Immunization saves lives, and I urge all parents, guardians, and caregivers to seize this opportunity. Let us work together to keep Epe safe, protected, and healthy.”
Stakeholders applauded her proactive leadership and expressed readiness to intensify advocacy across every ward. The collaborative spirit in the room underscored the shared responsibility of keeping children immunized and preventing avoidable outbreaks.
The launch of the Outbreak Response Initiative is yet another testament to Epe Local Government’s progressive agenda and the Chairman’s determination to champion effective, people-centered healthcare interventions.
With this initiative, Epe stands better equipped, stronger, and more united in the fight against preventable diseases. It is a bold stride toward a healthier, safer, and more resilient community.
