THE JOURNEY SO FAR

Hon. (Princess) Surah O. Animashaun, Executive Chairman, Epe Local Government Area, has unveiled several developmental projects in less than 4 years of being in office.

Reeling out her achievements, the Chairman noted that all the projects that have been delivered so far were in line with her promise to the people of Epe to make them feel the impacts of government at the grassroots level.

These projects cuts across key areas such as infrastructure, education, sports, health, security, welfare, empowerment, tourism and agriculture.

Hon. Princess Surah concluded that as the first woman in Epe Division to occupy the office of the Executive Chairman, she is poised and determined to imprint her name in gold in the annals of history in Epe LGA.

Completion of a block of 7 classrooms in Army Children’s School, Epe.

Complete renovation and rehabilitation of the Customary Court situated in the Local Government Secretariat.

Construction of two boreholes in Erepoto commissioned by this administration and completed by the youths in the community.

Construction of two blocks of 8 public restroom facilities in Erepoto Community.

Complete renovation and rehabilitation of the Council Chamber.

Recruitment of more teachers to provide employment for teaching staff and enable more robust learning opportunities for the children. Allocation of over 400 non-pensionable forms to teachers in Epe.

Rehabilitation, registration and professional training of all local security bodies within the Epe community (OPC & Ibile) to curb security threats, promote more accountability and safety.

Provision of wheelchairs and bedpans to Epe health centre and Epe general hospital

Distribution of food items to the aged within the community.

One year of free medical treatment for 100 aged people under the NHIS program

Provision of work tools and support to empower the participants of the waste to wealth program.

Construction of the Ayetoro modern market

Establishment of Widows Support Scheme.

Commemoration of World Tourism Day, 2021, the unveiling of the new face of Epe tourism, and the launch of the waterfront facilities at the Epe Marina.

Promotion of Epe Alaro Tourism and inter-trade relationship by facilitating ample marketing and representation at two major tourism programs (Akwaaba African Travel Market at Eko Hotel & Expo 2020 in Dubai).

Ongoing construction of the Ultra modern Multi purpose hall.

Ongoing construction of the 10- room Doctors' lodge.

Distribution of 250 jamb forms to indigent students.

Construction of box culvert at Olatunji Ojikutu street

Distribution of 100 GCE Forms

Production and distribution of back- to- school packages - school bags, books and writing materials for pupils.

Monthly random payment of medical bills of the vulnerable.

Presentation of over 50 Bunk beds and other academic materials to Epe Grammar School Students

Presentation of standard white marker boards and other academic materials to all the primary schools in Epe LG.
