In a remarkable demonstration of unity, visionary leadership and collective responsibility, the Executive Chairmen of the Five Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas convened a high-level security stakeholders’ meeting at the Epe Local Government Secretariat, bringing together traditional rulers, security agencies, community leaders and critical stakeholders to chart a common course towards strengthening peace, security and sustainable development across the division.

The strategic meeting was jointly hosted by Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun, FHTI, Executive Chairman, Epe Local Government; Hon. Abdullahi Sesan OOlowa, Executive Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government; Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, Executive Chairman, Eredo LCDA; Hon. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA; and Hon. Rasak Bamidele, Executive Chairman, Lekki LCDA, underscoring the unwavering commitment of the councils to preserving thhe peace, stability and prosperity for which Epe Division is renowned.
The Paramount Ruler of Epe Division, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, Arolugbade, the Oloja of Epe Land, Chairman, Council of Obas and Chiefs in Epe Division and Vice Chairman, Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, led traditional rulers from across the divisioin at a high-level security stakeholders’ meeting hosted by the Executive Chairmen in Epe Division.

The meeting also witnessed the participation of several respected Baales, government officials, and key security agencies, who emphasized that security remains a collective responsibility that requires strong collaboration among traditional institutions, local government authorities, security agencies and residents. He stressed the importance of intelligence gathering and sharing, vigilance, community policing and youth engagement as vital tools for sustaining peace and stability across the division.

The royal fathers commended the dedication and sacrifices of security personnel and urged residents to continue supporting security efforts through timely and credible information sharing.

During the meeting, stakeholders engaged in extensive deliberations on strenghtening inter-agency cooperation, improving community-security relations and adopting proactive measures to address emerging security challenges while creating an enabling environment for socio-economic development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants unanimously resolved to deepen collaboration among traditional rulers, local government authorities, security agencies and community leaders through sustained engagement and coordinated action aimed at safeguarding lives and property across Epe Division.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by all stakeholders to work collectively towards preserving peace, strengthening security, and accelerating grassroots development for the benefit of all communities in Epe Division.
