The programme, held at the Epe Local Government ICT Centre, attracted an impressive number of participants, including students, entrepreneurs, professionals, and youths, who gathered to acquire practical knowledge and skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging digital technologies.

The programme was facilitated by “Fred the Philomath”, a Nigerian digital skills and human capital development firm; whose resource persons guided participants through interactive and practical sessions on Artificial Intelligence, digital creativity, and emerging digital technologies. The initiative was sponsored by Epe Local Government as part of the administration’s commitment to promoting digital literacy, innovation, and human capital development.

The training commenced with an introduction to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, digital creativity, and the transformative role of technology in today’s digital economy. Participants engaged in interactive sessions that highlighted the opportunities AI presents for enhancing productivity, fostering innovation, and creating sustainable economic opportunities.

On the second day, the programme progressed into practical, hands-on sessions where participants explored modern AI applications and digital tools designed to improve creativity, entrepreneurship, and workplace efficiency. The practical approach enabled attendees to gain firsthand experience in applying AI solutions to real-life and professional tasks, while emphasizing the responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies.

The successful completion of the programme underscores the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment of the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, to youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and sustainable human capital development. Through initiatives such as this, the administration continues to equip residents with relevant digital competencies required to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
